It is the drive, it's a new drive though? Sucks but it does happen.

Yeah it's the one you told me to get actually. I'll just request a RMA and send it back to Newegg. Just kind of worried they'll see the files I put on there or something.

Odd I opened it without the ethernet plugged in and it works fine, but I doubt it's that since I tried opening it in safe mode and it didn't run, so I'm just gonna send it back just to be safe.

Computer runs smooth, I had a bunch of programs open, Maya was even rendering something and I still got 60 FPS on a game like Dragon Age Origins. Even my PS2 emulators run at full speed with very little slowdowns. Thanks for all the input and help guys. I wasn't really planning on going this far at first, just swapping some parts in the old tower and stuff, but I'm glad I did in the end.

Problem... My computer seems to died. I fell this morning(I'm ok now) and knocked it over when I booted it up, now when I boot it up it goes to the windows logo and then shuts off. I can't get past the windows logo. After that if I turn it on immedately after, it'll only get to the bios logo. Then when I unplug and replug it in it gets to the windows logo. Any idea what it could be?

If it stopped working after some physical damage, I'd open it up to see if anything was knocked loose. One time I got a chord stuck in front of the CPU fan so mine was shutting down quick and quicker since it was shutting down itself for safety. It wasn't getting past booting up at one point, but it was a very simple problem. Another time I damaged and IDE cable and didn't realize it, and I couldn't understand why the HDD wasn't booting till I notice that. Try checking all the hardware, because there's no way I'd think it's software from your story.

I opened it up, didn't seem like anything was loose inside that'd cause this problem. The power source was secure, the fans were unobstructed and everything LOOKED normal. I plan to let it rest unplugged for a little bit, and see if that does anything, then go into the computer unplug and replug everything in. I don't think anything should've been damaged since the case is pretty durable.

So, it got 'shut off' during a boot up, correct? By interesting means no less.

Initial though; windows doesn't like being powered off unexpectedly, especially during boot up. Best case scenario an unexpected power failure made Windows mess up. Try inserting the Windows 7 DVD and doing the "my PC doesn't start" repair option.

Alternately use another bootable media. (More details over IM.)

If that fails to work, open up the case entirely, and then power it up. Check for the fans. See if they're all spinning. Check for oddities, or things that dont seem to look or sound right.

It could just be your hard drive had been jarred and is now broken.

The LED's on the motherboard for core temp: One is red indicating it's operating above 80 degrees C. I got the PC running again, by ripping out and putting the heatsink back in. I ma yneed to buy more fan gel or get that other heatsink (I'm using the stock intel one that came with the processor atm).

It's blinking red, probably means the temp is going up and down. Seems stable at 86 degrees C. So I might need that heat sink gel.
